Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bartender to craft innovative and high-quality beverages while delivering a premium guest experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about mixology, understands flavor pairings, and can create signature cocktails that elevate the resort’s luxury standards. The Bartender will be responsible for ensuring an inviting and vibrant atmosphere at the bar, maintaining stock levels, and providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and signature cocktails.
- Follow Kep Merli’s menu recipes and ensure drink consistency and quality.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient bar operation, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar station, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
Guest Interaction & Experience
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude, providing a personalized service.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and make tailored drink recommendations.
- Ensure guests are of legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages.
- Foster a lively, yet elegant atmosphere in line with Kep Merli’s luxury standards.
Inventory & Bar Maintenance
- Monitor and replenish bar stock, ensuring all ingredients and garnishes are available.
- Properly handle and store bar equipment and ingredients.
- Assist in ordering supplies and communicating stock shortages to management.
Compliance & Professionalism
- Follow strict hygiene and food safety protocols.
- Adhere to alcohol service laws and resort policies.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a 5-star hotel, high-end restaurant, or luxury beach resort.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and wine/spirits.
- Certification in bartending or mixology is a plus.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
