Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure efficient processes for receiving, inventory handling, and order fulfillment.
- Maintain and optimize warehouse storage systems to maximize space and improve workflow.
- Track and monitor inventory levels of supplies, materials, and resort products, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Manage the distribution of inventory across various resort departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, etc.) based on operational needs.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy, track stock movement, and identify discrepancies.
Inventory Control
- Develop and implement inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste or overstocking.
- Monitor stock levels for critical items, ensuring that high-demand products are always available and seasonal fluctuations are taken into account.
- Track inventory movements through electronic management systems, ensuring data accuracy and real-time updates.
- Work with department heads to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- Analyze inventory reports and performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Procurement Management
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary goods, materials, and supplies for the resort, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage procurement budgets for warehouse stock, working to ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and bulk purchasing agreements to maximize value for the resort.
- Stay informed about trends in the hospitality and resort industries, identifying new products or services that may benefit resort operations.
- Ensure all procurement is in compliance with company policies, and track all purchases for audit purposes.
- Place orders for regular and emergency stock replenishment, ensuring that lead times and seasonal demands are accounted for.
Logistics and Distribution
- Oversee the efficient movement of goods from the warehouse to various resort departments, ensuring items are delivered as requested and on time.
- Manage internal logistics, coordinating with department managers for the timely distribution of inventory across the resort.
- Handle returns, damaged goods, and discrepancies between what was ordered and what was delivered, working with suppliers to resolve any issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all deliveries, and stock receipts.
Reporting and Administration
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on stock levels, procurement activities, and warehouse performance.
- Report regularly to senior management on inventory status, procurement expenditures, and any challenges affecting supply chain operations.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, deliveries, and inventory movements for audit and compliance purposes.
